The Practice was established in Redditch in the 1870's at No. 3 Prospect Hill. (formerly the Greyhound Pub). This remained the doctor's home and surgery until the 1960's. The practice has evolved over time from a single-handed practice to now a multi-doctor training practice with a full Primary Care Team.
St Stephens Surgery offers a full range of GP services and works in close co-operation with the Alexandra Hospital and it is part of Redditch & Bromsgrove Clinical Commissioning Group.
The Practice prides itself in training medical students from Warwick, Birmingham and London University.
On some occasions you may be asked if you are happy to be seen by a student to support their training, they will always be supervised by a GP and we thank you in advance for your cooperation with this.
As a Practice we are also involved in Research. All Research has ethical approval and as a patient you may be asked to take part, but you will always have the right to decline. The Practice feels that Research improves the quality of care offered and we are grateful for any participation.
